Here we go!!!

After the long forced break, the National Dance Production Centre Scenario Pubblico/Compagnia Zappalà Danza starts again with several projects, which will have to take into account the new situation and the measures to which our sector must comply.

Auditions are currently underway to access the MoDem Pro and MoDem Atelier courses and the young ensemble CZD2 – giovane compagnia zappalà danza. The auditions scheduled for March in several European cities have been canceled due to Covid-19, and will be held online. The deadline for submitting applications is 16 July 2020, on Scenario Pubblico website the forms for submitting the applications: www.scenariopubblico.com

At the end of August, Compagnia Zappalà Danza will work on the new creation by Roberto Zappalà ‘Rifare Bach’ (Remaking Bach). The company started the rehearsals late February during a first residence at the Centre Choréographique National de Rillieux-la-Pape in Lyon, but rehearsals have been abruptly interrupted because of Coronavirus.
Production should have premièred in June between Singapore and Hong Kong, but the tour has been postponed to 2021, also in this case due to the Coronavirus emergency. The première is scheduled now at the end of October 2020 at the Teatro Massimo Bellini in Catania within the Opera&Balletto season, and other dates are being defined, as well as for other productions of the company.

CZD2 giovane compagnia zappalà danza will also start again its activity in September, and will be available with various projects, including Patria, choreography from Roberto Zappalà’s repertoire.

Finally, Scenario Pubblico had to rethink the 20-21 season because of the measures to be adopted for Coronavirus, the new program will be published soon.
