Shumpei Nemoto
Shumpei Nemoto is originally from Japan and at the age of 16 he was awarded a scholarship at Prix de Lausanne to train at the English National Ballet School. Between 2000 – 2013, Shumpei has danced professionally with the Royal Ballet, Deutsche Oper Am Rhein and Cullberg Ballet. Since 2013 he is active as freelance choreographer, teacher, dancer and video maker and had worked as guest artist at several schools and companies around Europe. Beside commissioned work, he received project grants from Konstnärsnämnden and created first own dance work through the residencies at Konstnärsnämnden in Stockholm, Choreographishes Centrum Heidelberg and the project premiered at Scenario Pubblico in 2015.
