Salvo Lombardo is a performer, choreographer, multimedia artist and curator of performative projects. Since 2016 he has been the artistic director of Chiasma Company. He is currently associated artist of MilanOltre Festival and Lavanderia a Vapore. His works and research projects have made use of the collaboration of several festivals, theatres, museums and independent spaces in Italy and abroad. In 2017-2018 he was associated artist at Oriente Occidente Festival. From 2019 to 2022 he was co-curator of Resurface Festival (Rome) and Interazioni – Festival (Rome). In 21\22 he was one of the artists selected for the European project MMDD_Micro and Macro Dramaturgies in Dance. In 2021 he was selected as an artist by the European network BeSpectActive. In 2022 he was among the artists of the May Town project in Zetkin Park of the Schaubühne Lindenfels Leipzig (DE). In 2023 he collaborated in the research project Laboratorio Excelsior of the Department of Humanities of the University of Turin. www.salvolombardo.org Chiasma ETS, founded in 2016 and directed by Salvo Lombardo, is based in Rome and operates in the field of contemporary visual and performing arts through a series of national and international activities and initiatives, with an offer that ranges from artistic production to management of cultural events, to the didactic activity. Since 2018 Chiasma has been recognized and financed by Italian Minister of Culture as a dance production company. Chiasma promotes and supports the work of various artists including performers, dancers, visual artists, sound designers, theorists, and researchers, aiming at a contamination of languages and interdisciplinary artistic research.
