Gaia Occhipinti
She trained professionally in Rome at the age of 19 studying at the Ballet of Rome. In 2012 she began her contemporary three-year studies at the National Dance Academy in Rome, deepening the classical technique, the Cunningham and Limon techniques and at the same time she dances repertoire choreographies studying with Fritz Ludin and Betty Jones, Susanne Heimann, Nina Watt. She graduated in choreutic disciplines Contemporary Triennium in 2016.
In 2017 she continued her specialization in Rome at the Opificio in Movimento by studying floor work, release, contact improvisation, gaga technique and Hofesh Shechter repertoire.
In September 2019 she took part in the intensive program “MoDem PRO”, produced by Compagnia Zappalà Danza, at the end of which she has been selected to be part of the CZD2 Giovane Compagnia Zappalà Danza. She participated in Roberto Zappalà’s creation ‘Rifare Bach’, which has been premièred on 29 September 2021 at the Campania Teatro Festival in Naples and is currently on tour.
