Corpo a Corpo explores the violence that bodies experiment and express from their first breath. It sets out to consider the theme of violence, of good and evil and humanity’s plight since the story of Cain and Abel. Corpo a Corpo represents the original fight, original evil, first fratricide and first martyrdom; the first consequence of the distancing between God and humanity. This distancing was so tragic and permanent that it created evil. Roberto Zappalà’s production with its unique medium of dance and bodily movement tracks the original fight as a warning and admonishment against contemporary conflicts.
